Leora Cheshin has exhibited her work in one-person shows at the Jerusalem Artists House; the Eretz Israel Museum; the Jerusalem Theatre; Beit Gavriel on the Kinneret; Israel Museum Ruth Youth Wing Library; and in numerous group exhibitions in Israel and the USA. Her work is on exhibit in her studio in the center of Jerusalem.
Cheshin, a graduate of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, is a member of the Jerusalem Branch of the Israel Association of Painters and Sculptors, and Israel Association of Periodical Press (IAPP).
Leora Cheshin has been studying local flora through the lens for many years. In the current exhibition, she concentrates on the sabra cactus in an attempt to see if a new look is possible, free of the emotional and political burdens of the past.

צבר מצוי صبار Opuntia vulgaris
A succulent of the Cactaceae family. Originated in the Mexican highlands, spread by the Spanish conquistadores to tropics and subtropics including Palestine. The prickly pear cactus grows to a height of about three meters. Its flattened, obovate branches of bluish-green color include several long thorns and hundreds of tiny sharp, strong hook-like thorns.
The plant is highly adaptable to various climatic conditions, especially arid lands, and can be regenerated from any branch that falls to the ground. This is how the sabra cactus became domesticated and distributed throughout the areas where it grows. It is cultivated as a living fence and for its sweet, flavorful, sweet-smelling fruit.
